| Areas of Expertise: Glen Balzer, president of New Era Consulting, is a management and forensic consultant involved with domestic and international marketing and sales. He advises parties involved with contracts between manufacturers representatives, suppliers, worldwide customers and industrial distributors. He promotes conflict resolution between parties involved in representative agreements and distribution agreements. During the past 30 years, he has been involved in establishing and managing marketing and sales organizations throughout America, Europe and Asia, particularly Japan and China. Mr. Balzer served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Be Here Corporation in 1998, a venture capital funded start-up company in Silicon Valley. Be Here manufactured immersive imaging hardware and software that enabled 360-degree panoramic images to be placed on the Internet. From 1994 to 1998, he served as Vice President, North American Sales and Marketing at Philips Semiconductors. At Philips, he managed a team of 420 people generating $870 million in revenue annually. While at Philips, he negotiated and signed all representative agreements with 21 manufacturers representatives in Canada, America and Mexico, annually. Prior to Philips, he served as President of the Components Division and Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, at Western Micro Technology, an industrial electronics distributor. At Western Micro, he was responsible for negotiating and signing distribution agreements with all semiconductor suppliers. Prior experience includes a 19-year career at Advanced Micro Devices, where he held a number of management positions including: Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Asia Pacific Operations; President, AMD Japan, Ltd.; Vice President, Strategic Sales; and Vice President, North American Sales. During seven years at AMD as president of AMD Japan and Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Asia Pacific Operations, he negotiated and signed all representative agreements with manufacturers representatives in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, Thailand, and Singapore. While Vice President of North American Sales, he negotiated and signed all representative agreements with 10 manufacturers representatives in Canada and America. From 1988 to 1992, he served as a Director of the Semiconductor Industry Association, Japan Chapter, and served as its Chairman in 1990 and Vice Chairman in 1991. He has been a member of the Forensic Expert Witness Association since 2003 and serves as Board President and Vice President of the San Francisco Chapter since 2005.
